amazing.
so many things happened this past year, some were awesome, some were less than memorable. but all in all, i'm thankful for the blessings that God has poured on me, for his provision in all my times of need, for being able to run to his open arms that welcome me so willingly, even when i didn't deserve it. God is truly awesome!
I may have failed, but I'll try again.
And again.
God is good!
All the time!

i'm really gonna miss summer. i'm gonna miss not being at school, eating mom's good homecooked meals, not being fat (cuz we know that'll change again when i get back to school), going out without worrying (too much) about homework and junx, seeing church kids every week, saturday morning bballs, video game fests, going to the movies like at least every other week, having my own room, being able to go shopping any time i wanted, listening to the radio while i'm driving, hanging out wiht my friends, but i think most of all, i'm really gonna miss all the things that i could have done this summer but never got a chance to for whatever reason. there were a lot of things i wanted to do, but with work and homework and friends not being available i missed out on a lot. well, i can't really say "missed out" because they didn't actually happen, but could have. but i still really enjoyed all the moments i did spend with my friends and family and whoever. is this becoming a sappy blog? well, i gotta have at least one before school starts again!
i just realized that i've been here for over 9 years now. that's more than half my life!! i've never stayed in a city for more than 3 years before i moved here. well, it's been quite a ride so far;)
last night i got to stay up late and spend hours just talking about pretty much everything. i haven't done that in a reeaally long time. it was cool too cuz we talked about like school and stuff and what was goign on now, also stuff about future (not so much, i'm not good at thinking ahead,) and a whole lotta stuff that happened in the past. it was like a giant flashback, of high school, middle school, elementary school geez! haha=) man oh man the stupid stories:) well, not all stupid but either way i still like stories:)
well, i didn't wake up for work this morning, but hey it was worth it=)
stuff like that i'm gonna miss.

as i was massively cleaning my room today (actually just my bookshelf) i came across a short piece of something that i wrote for senior year first aid health class. i have decided to enlighten you with my piece of something and hence probably make you dumber just by making you read it. please excuse any misspellings, grammatical incorrectness, pure stupidity, etc etc. well, enjoy.
General Tao's Chicken
The other day I went to the mall and was walking around when I saw a young six years old girl choke on a free sample of General Tao's Chicken at the Food Court. At first I thought it wasn't a serious matter, but then I saw her clutch her throat and immediately I knew it was serious. After all, that is the universal distress signal for choking! I ran over, accidentally dropping my Wendy's Biggie drink on my shoe, but I didn't care for my main concern was to get that young girl to breathe. I slid over on my knees after I realized she had gone unconscious and fallen to the ground. Her mother was standing next to her screaming, not knowing what course of action to take. I, being so skilled in these types of situations, because of my first marking period Safety class with Mr. G (I got a smiley face here from Mr. G), yelled at her to hurry and call the paramedics! However, I did not proceed to help until after I obtained permission from her mother, of course! (Mr. G wrote next to this sentence, "IN A CHOKING SITUATION, THERE'S NO NEED TO ASK PERMISSION TO HELP" underlined.) This poor girl could wait no longer! I was on my knees, frantically searching for a pulse. Relieved to have found one, I put my ear to her mouth, and when I didn't hear or feel breath, I immediately began to give her abdominal thrusts, starting with six. After the seventh abdominal thrust, a piece of General Tao's Chicken flew out of her throat and landed in what was left of my Wendy's Biggie drink. The little girl then began to cough and afterwards, was able to breathe normally. EMS arrived and took her and her mother to the hospital. Wendy's saw what happened and offered me a lifetime supply of free Biggie drinks.
I'm still waiting for a Wendy's truck...

i've been watching a lot of movies lately. my mom's rediscovered the movie section of the library and now she's on a frenzy. so two nights ago, i watched cider house rules AND seabiscuit (tobey marathon!) last night i watched count of monte cristo again (it was better the first time) but i'm reading the book right now and i liked sitting next to my dad and the whole time he was like, "that wasn't in the book!" and "THAT wasn't in the book!!" and "where's the banker?" etc etc. haha. and we also checked out road to perdition and i personally checked out the princess diaries (tee hee). so if i can pull of not doing any more math tonight (which isn't likely) i'll be watching more movies this weekend! ooh, and guess what i found? all of willie's dvds that i borrowed and never returned. such as changing lanes!! i thought i lost that one last christmas...i suppose i did, but it's been found! and i have his sw2 and lotr2 and mib2 which i should watch also. ooh, and now i have the hp2 dvd also so that makes me happy. what's with all these 2s?? ok this was a movie blog. i love movies. i should be a movie star. whee!
